The Cantu chair is a celebrated piece of Brazilian mid century modernist design, conceived in the 1950s and 1960s by the renowned Brazilian designer, Sergio Rodrigues. This chair is a beautiful example of Rodrigues's exploration into Brazilian identity in furniture design, blending modernist principles with local craftsmanship. This example is in excellent condition with only minor signs of use. Wood components exhibit minor scattered scratching, shallow indentations, and localized finish wear. The leather strap upholstery shows scattered abrasions, faint impressions, and minor staining. Otherwise the chair presents beautifully and is ready to place in a discerning mid century interior.
