the model 2003 used three rotating glass lenses to eliminate cast shadows over the operating field. That original optical assembly remains intact in this piece, including the central adjustment knob.
the conversion keeps the surgical character while making it suitable for a domestic or commercial interior. The head has been refinished in gloss black, and the lamp has been fully rewired for safe contemporary use. The tripod, constructed from vintage army crutches, adds a second layer of provenance to the object and references the same world of medical equipment from which the lamp originates.
this is a single, unique piece. The minor signs of age are consistent with its working history and confirm its authenticity.
