It is a vintage piece dating back to the 1930s, in the Art Nouveau style, designed by Umberto Bellotto (Venice 1882-1940).

Bollo invented and patented (1910) with architect Cesare Aurienti the iron-glass combination technique, metal structures with blown glass elements inside. He relied primarily on the master glassmakers Barovier & Toso, occasionally collaborating with artist Vittorio Zecchin on the glass.

The vase features an aesthetic that combines the elegance of blown glass with the strength and artistry of wrought iron.
