Circa Late 19th Century. The Salt Glaze Exterior has a Very Nice Uniform Allover Slate Gray Color. The Front has a Wonderful Artistically Executed and Very Unusual Deep Cobalt Blue Hand Decorated Design. It has No Makers Name or Other Markings. These type of Jugs were Commonly Used to Store a Variety of Liquids - Spirits - Liquor - Ciders - Vinegar - Spring Water Etc. It is in Very Good - Strong - Sound - all Original Condition and it Displays Beautifully. It has a Faint - Very Fine Hairline Surface Crack at the Base Front Area - This Most Likely Being a Kiln Firing Flaw - Occurred in The Making - See Photographs.
