An exceptional pair of mid-century modern bohemian nesting tables, circa 1960s. This highly versatile set features a beautifully executed, tight spiral "sunburst" woven wicker top built over a heavy, solid wood plank sub-base—offering an impressive structural weight and stability rarely found in purely woven casual furniture.
The architectural framework is constructed from substantial, thick-walled natural rattan poles accented by classic bent bamboo support stretchers and meticulous reed lashings at every structural joint. The warm, organic variation in the natural reed coloration yields an incredible visual depth and texture.
