This vintage accent armchair beautifully blends Victorian, French Country, and Louis XV style elements into a single, cohesive design. The Louis XV style is immediately apparent in the chair's ornate, fluid asymmetry, highlighted by the elaborate scrollwork, shell motif carving on the crest rail, and the gently curving, open armrests. Adding a rustic, comfortable twist, the French Country influence shines through in the choice of a muted, distressed sage green painted finish on the wood frame rather than traditional gilding. The rest of the chair features a wide, domed seat and a rectangular back cushion upholstered in a matching green fabric, which is secured along the borders with a decorative golden-yellow gimp trim and brass upholstery tacks.
