The saturated blue velvet seats, upright dining posture, and streamlined dark chair legs make this suite of chairs striking and provide a strong foundation for a dramatic, highly tailored dining experience that complements interiors ranging from Art-deco-inspired to contemporary and transitional upscale spaces. These chairs would benefit from professional reupholstery and/or cleaning, depending on the desired use and needs.

* Each chair has a continuous upholstered silhouette with a broad, rounded back
* Blue velvet upholstery with a pronounced directional pile. Depending upon the angle of the light and the movement of the fabric, the color shifts from deep blue-green and petrol tones to brighter aquatic and cerulean highlights
* Chair backs are rounded at the upper corners and subtly tapered toward the seats, which are broad, gently curved, and lightly rounded along the front edge
* Slender tapered legs extend cleanly beneath with a dark painted or stained finish
* A Dessin Fournir Companies label remains attached beneath at least one chair.
* Overall good vintage condition with notable wear to the blue velvet upholstery across multiple chairs. Velvet remains visually dramatic but should be considered as having vintage wear - shows pile disturbance, pressure marking, and directional shading inherent to the material; however, photos (below) also show clear age- and use-related wear beyond normal pile movement. Several chairs display visible punctures, tears, abrasions, or fabric loss near the lower sides of the backrests. (See photo details) Additional small pulls, scuffs, spots, and surface marks are visible across the upholstery, with the extent and placement of wear varying from chair to chair. Dark-finished legs show some scratches and finish wear consistent with age and use. Minor wear is also visible along the lower upholstered edges and perimeter piping.
