This fantastic piece was designed by aldo londi for bitossi (italy) in the late 1950s or early 1960s. It bears the "sardartis castelsardo" mark on the underside.

this beautiful object is handmade in italy and features a hand-decorated geometric design in vibrant turquoise and cobalt blue glazes.

sardartis was a high-end boutique and shop selling local art and ceramics, located in the town of castelsardo on the island of sardinia.

during the mid-century era, sardartis served as a prominent distributor and retailer for the renowned italian ceramics manufacturer bitossi.

aldo londi, a ceramicist from montelupo, became bitossi's art director in the early 1950s and created his famous "rimini blu" collection in 1955. This collection comprises over 150 different designs—including vases, bowls, and animal figures—all glazed in bright blue and green hues and featuring a distinctive, iconic pattern.
