Glazed ceramic umbrella stand designed by Enzo Bioli for his Il Picchio factory, circa 1970. The piece features a geometric pyramid shape with flared edges on the top and bears the original trademark on the base. Enzo Bioli (1932-2006), a multifaceted artist, painter, and ceramist active in Parma. Il Picchio (Italy), a workshop founded by Bioli in 1967 and active until 1985, is internationally renowned for its avant-garde design.
