A stunning pair of wall sconces by Glashütte Limburg, West Germany, circa 1960. These represent the largest model produced by the manufacturer — a rare find in virtually unused, near-mint condition. Each sconce features a richly textured diamond-cut pressed crystal shade of exceptional brilliance, set within an ornate gilt bronze frame cast with acanthus leaf and palmette motifs. The quality of the gilding and the precision of the casting place these firmly in the upper tier of Limburg’s production. The generous format — 36 cm in height — commands immediate presence on any wall. The diamond-cut pattern catches and refracts light with remarkable intensity, creating a warm, jewel-like effect when illuminated.
