an elegant napoleon iii style side table in precious veneer and polychrome marquetry, opening with a central door concealing interior storage space.

the front is adorned with a remarkable marquetry panel depicting a vase of flowers composed of various finely carved wood species.

the decoration is framed by a rich beaded molding in gilt bronze and highlighted by a chevron frieze.

the uprights are embellished with gilt bronze mounts decorated with female caryatids and terminate in bronze sabots.

the frieze features a top drawer inlaid with scrolling foliage and fitted with movable bronze handles.

the whole is topped with an elegant molded griotte red marble, perfectly matching the richness of the wood veneer.
