The stem features a stacked column of clear lucite discs alternating with brass rings — a refinement characteristic of quality Viennese lighting production of the period, in the tradition of Kalmar and Rupert Nikoll — which glows amber when lit, adding a second light source within the composition.

The lamp has its original mid-century shade which is patinated and shows gentle signs of wear – the original, painterly floral fabric shade is very beautifully patterned with full-blown peonies and blossom branches in burnt orange, deep burgundy and gold. It gives off a welcoming, warm light. Ideal for a reading corner, hallway, bedroom or living room. Professionally rewired (new black textile cord, European plug).
