The convertible sleeping armchair was designed by legendary Lithuanian architect Valerija Ema Cukermanienė, who passed away just a few years ago. A solid oak and plywood combination frame covered in walnut mordant and transparent lacquer. Seating fully reupholstered in cosy cream beige colour. The armchair is a symbol of aspired Western modernism in the Soviet Bloc. Back in the day, behind the Iron Curtain, this was a very popular sleeping arrangement for a guest staying overnight. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
