Circa 1960's hand painted maple sap bucket by Tom FitzSimons of Manchester, VT.
This sap bucket is hand made from wood with metal bands. The metal bands, along with the bucket have been expertly hand painted by Tom Fitzsimons circa 1960 in Manchester, Vermont.
The bucket is a gorgeous chalk blue color with a wonderful eagle in shades of gold and brown holding ribbon of red, white and blue in its talons. The eagle is holding an olive branch in its beak. this is a lovely folk art bucket and perfect for representing your Patriotic side!
Label on bottom. "Hand Decorated / by / Tom FitzSimons / Manchester, Vermont..." A similar example is in the Bennington VT Museum Collection.
