This antique 19th-century console table is a traditional open-frame accent piece made from solid elm wood from the Shanxi Province of Northern China. Built using traditional mortise and tenon joinery, it features a classic minimalist silhouette with four slender, straight legs, subtle horse-hoof feet, and a slim rectangular top that highlights a prominent natural wood grain. The table is finished in a vibrant, rich red lacquer patina with delicate distressed edges that reveal the dark undertones of the timber beneath.
