A decorative and usable item for any desk or vanity. it was given to a teacher at a school in nyborg by a number of locals in the late 1930s, hence the latin inscription 'civitas nybvrgensis' (trans. The citizens of nyborg). The signatures of these people are etched into the inside of the lid. The box weighs 1.337 kg, and is marked with three towers (the equivalent of 925 silver). It was created and designed by the danish silversmith s. J. Christensen in copenhagen. Stamped by maker See less
