This is a gorgeous Vintage Original Hand-Colored Etching by Listed American Artist Annette Robyns (1914-1994) titled "Nine Dragons." This beautiful modernist composition features flowing organic forms in vibrant hand-applied colors, highlighted by a charming peacock motif nestled within the design. Pencil signed, titled, and numbered 2/25, making this an exceptionally small edition. A wonderful decorative example of Robyns' distinctive modernist style. Sold unframed as shown. Robyns studied under renowned artist Fernand Léger, whose influence can be seen in her bold forms and expressive compositions. We have a small collection of her rare prints, so please check back for more.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The image itself presents beautifully with strong color. There is tape residue and minor paper loss along the margins from a previous mat or framing, as well as some edge wear, all of which should be concealed beneath a standard mat when professionally framed. Please review all photos carefully.
Measurements: Strike is approx 12"x9" and it is approx 17.5"x15" total paper size.
