Designed in 1948 at the request of Frances Knoll. This chairs was acquired circa 1960 by Dr. & Mrs. Julius Stratton, President of MIT at the time & when Saarinen was involved in multiple MIT projects. It descended to their daughter & now leaves the family. Reupholstered at some point. The chair with black finished steel structure & the ottoman with chrome plated steel structure. No labels.
