Often marketed alongside mudcloth textiles, this wall hanging is much more consistent with that tradition than with classic Malian bogolanfini. Featuring a bold, hand-painted figurative composition in warm earth tones. The central stylized figure is surrounded by symbolic birds and geometric motifs, creating a visually compelling narrative rooted in the rich textile traditions of West Africa. Mounted on wood stretcher bars, this textile is ready to hang.
Handwoven from strips of natural cotton and decorated using traditional fermented mud-dye techniques, each mudcloth is unique, with slight variations in color, line work, and texture. The neutral palette of ivory, camel, and deep brown makes this piece exceptionally versatile, pairing beautifully with Organic Modern, Wabi-Sabi, Tribal, Bohemian, Global, Contemporary, and Minimalist interiors.
