Original watercolor on paper by Henry Emil Salloch, also known as Heinz Emil
Salloch, the German-born American artist and graphic designer who emigrated to the United
States in 1937. This unframed work depicts a dramatic coastal landscape featuring steep seaside cliffs meeting an open body of water under a stormy sky at Cap Bon Ami-Gaspé, Quebec, Canada. Signed at the bottom right and dated 1957.
The sheet measures approximate 15'' X 20''. Condition is vintage and unrestored, with overall good
presentation. Sold unframed.
A strong example of Salloch’s mid-century landscape work, with fluid ink line and transparent
watercolor washes.
