This is a great piece! This Christmas Angel was made with the intention of her being a nightlight but didn’t come with a light…. So most owners just sat her on their mantel or table setting for the holiday season. It’s funny how unknown things happen that way. It even seems that most people didn’t even know! Until google lense, of course!
This is one of the factors that make her so collectible, along with being made with the stunning frosted satin glass. It was likely made by the manufacturer MIKASA but it’s not marked, so this is a guess. But if so, this would be another reason! MIKASA is well known for their high-end quality designs that last the many tests of time.
