He helped popularize progressive British and European furniture designs during the early 20th centi. Some of his most interesting designs are based on the work of Charles Tennis McIntosh of Scotland. Like McIntosh Limbert was attracted to the artistic potential of everyday objects and emphasized the importance of function in the creation of furniture forms. This Oval Library Table highlights those features in it's abundant oval shape, the lower shelf and the mortise and tenon joinery. The cutouts provide a beautiful artistic design detail. The finish is Onondaga, a warm reddish brown. #32 See less

We purchased our home 6 years ago and this piece was one of several pieces that sold with the home. It has been in an upstairs sitting room and had not had any daily use in 6 years. There is a blemish on the table top that we were told was caused by candle wax. There is a photo of that blemish included. less
