Offered is a set of 4 pieces of vintage (circa late 1970s through the early 1980s) burnished ceramic dinnerware from Tonalá in Jalisco, Mexico and created by Ken Edwards renowned for his studio, El Palomar. The set includes 3 sizes of Vegetable Serving bowls and 1 larger more shallow Salad bowl. The bird and flower are typical of the region, as are the colors, blue and brown. Each piece is signed with "El Palomar Mexico", his initials, K. E., and the accompanying squiggled insect, snail, bird, or fish he rendered on the bottom or lower side.
The 3 vegetable bowls all nest together and have a simple flower as inside decoration and birds and flowers on the outside. The salad bowl has more elaborate decoration on the interior but none on the outside.. We have numerous other pieces and sets from this particular collection and are happy to combine shipping.
The Salad bowl measures 9" diameter, 3.25" tall
The largest of the vegetable bowls measures 8" diameter, 4.25" tall
The middle of the vegetable bowls measures 7.375" diameter, 3.75" tall
The smallest of the vegetable bowls measures 6.5" diameter, 3.75" tall
