Horizontal white forms ripple across a sky blue silk ground from edge to edge, the resist-dyed threads creating a continuous wave-like rhythm that reads almost like moving water caught mid-flow. No single focal point, no central medallion; the pattern distributes itself evenly across the full face of the cover in a dense, all-over repeat. One of the more quietly mesmerizing pieces in this technique.
Size: 16 x 24 inches / 40 x 60 cm. Cover only, insert not included.
Woven on a traditional loom from silk threads bound and dyed before weaving begins, so the wave forms emerge from the yarn alignment itself rather than any surface application. Not printed; the pattern is woven directly into the fabric structure. Horizontal bleed lines running across the field are an inherent characteristic of the ikat process, not irregularities.
