Cast in solid high-zinc yellow brass in the 1970s, this 8-inch-diameter accent piece features a bright, solid golden hue and captures the traditional iconography of the Ananda Tandava. Shiva is positioned with four arms balanced dynamically on one foot, crushing the dwarf demon Apasmara—the symbol of ignorance and ego—all while framed within a flaming circular aureole known as the Prabhamandala. The detailed metallic openwork stands upon an integrated tiered pedestal, which is mounted securely to a flat, dark circular wooden display base. With the stylized temple aesthetic of classic Indian metalwork, this compact religious icon serves as a captivating, culturally rich focal point for an executive desk, personal altar, library bookshelf, or mid-century decorative vignette.
