Condition
Both vases display beautifully and remain in very good antique condition overall.
There are minor chips around the base, as noted on the original auction receipt. These chips are confined to the bottom edge/base area and do not detract from the overall display of the vases. I found no major cracks or repairs. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
These elegant vases were acquired from a designer collection and represent wonderful examples of early Nippon artistry. Matching scenic moriage pairs of this size are increasingly difficult to locate and make a beautiful addition to any antique porcelain collection.

This is a beautiful matching pair of authentic antique Nippon hand-painted moriage vases with vibrant colors, detailed scenic crane panels, and raised enamel decoration. The vases display very well and retain their original green Hand Painted Nippon Japan backstamp. Condition notes: * Minor chips are present around the base, as noted on the original auction receipt. These are confined to the bottom edge/base area and are not readily visible when the vases are displayed. * No major cracks or repairs were observed during my inspection. * There is light, age-appropriate wear to the gold gilt and minor surface wear consistent with over 100 years of age and normal handling. * The hand-painted decoration and raised moriage remain well preserved and display beautifully.
