An exceptional, large-scale original limited-edition woodblock print (mokuhanga) by renowned modern master Ted Colyer (b. 1947). Titled Winter Hida, this striking 1978 piece captures a historic Gassho-zukuri thatched-roof farmhouse blanketed in heavy snow in the alpine Hida region of Japan.
• Limited Edition & Artist Markings: Hand-numbered 26/100, titled, and hand-signed/dated in pencil along the lower margin by the artist (Ted Colyer '78).
• Impeccable Provenance: Purchased on January 5, 1978, at the prestigious Kanda's Gallery in Tokyo, Japan. Features the original Kanda's Gallery B・O・G labels on the frame backing and includes the original custom-fitted Japanese shipping box with gallery stamps. Original purchase documentation is preserved.
• Aesthetic Appeal: Masterful texture and stark graphic composition. The cool gray winter sky and deep wood tones contrast beautifully against crisp fields of white snow. Framed in a premium, minimalist wood frame under a double mat with a subtle blue accent border.
