Executed in painted wood and metal, this dynamic abstract composition depicts a stylized acrobatic or gymnastic figure rendered in the artist’s distinctive geometric vocabulary. The sculpture features a richly patinated dark finish accented by hand-painted bands in warm earth tones and is mounted on a custom pedestal base. Felguérez was a pioneering figure in postwar Mexican abstraction and is internationally recognized for his innovative sculptural and architectural works. This signed example embodies the artist’s playful yet sophisticated exploration of form, balance, and movement.
