Chinese export wedding basket produced in the People's Republic of China, circa 1975–1995. Constructed from woven bamboo or rattan over a rigid frame, the basket features a black lacquered finish, fitted lid, and arched bentwood handle in the traditional wedding or dowry basket form.
The underside retains its export label marked "Made in the People's Republic of China" with factory code ART NO. DF-15 F1006, consistent with late twentieth-century state-factory export goods.
Measuring approximately 13 inches in height, the basket reflects a later export interpretation of traditional Chinese bridal and carrying baskets, combining geometric woven construction with a dark lacquered surface and substantial display scale.
