Gorgeous antique landscape painting in ornate wood frame featuring ornamental swags and festoons. Circa early 1900s, the artwork features a pastoral scene with a tranquil lake and peaceful cottage. I love the soft muted shades, which give it a dream-like feel. The frame is wood with an oval aperture and gilt detailing. This piece is classic and classy, offering a bit of idyllic charm.
The frame measures 23" tall and 11" wide. It's in remarkable condition for its age with only light patina. The gilt detailing is all in place with no pieces missing (as is often the case with a piece this old).
The size of this antique landscape painting makes it easy to incorporate into any space, from a small knook to a gallery wall.
