This three-drawer Biedermeier chest of drawers is characterized by its austere, cube-shaped body, resting on square, tapered feet. Following the strict design language of the Biedermeier period, the escutcheons are inlaid, and the drawers are of varying sizes. The solid cherry wood, with its rich, reddish hue, provides a warm contrast to the chest's austere form. A hand-applied shellac polish further enhances this effect.
