Dimensions tin: height: 7,5 cm / 2.95 in width: 14,0 cm / 5.51 in depth: 11,5 cm / 4.52 in tray: 21,7 x 18,8 cm / 8.54 x 7.40 in gross weight: 583 grams / 18.74 troy oz hallmarks: - lion in hexagon + 2 - dutch official hallmark 1814-1953 for 835 silver - reclining crecent over 'vk' in square - master's sign j.m. Van kempen en zonen, voorschoten, netherlands - in 1835 johannes mattheus van kempen iii (1814-1877) started a silver factory in utrecht, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, johannes mattheus i (1764-1833) and his father, johannes mattheus ii (1792-1831), both silversmiths in utrecht. In 1851 it was the first silver factory to install a steam engine. When the factory expanded, it moved to a new building in voorschoten in 1858. The company name existed until 1924. - minerva head - dutch hallmark with assayer's letter (rubbed off) - 'n' - letter of the year 1872 condition: very well maintained, cleaned and polished this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
