An exceptional vintage Murano sommerso glass vase attributed to Alessandro Mandruzzato, Italy, circa 1960s.
This impressive handcrafted art glass vase features a dramatic three-layer sommerso composition with a deep cranberry and purple core, dipped in a vibrant yellow layer and encased in thick aquamarine crystal glass. The vase is expertly cold-worked and polished into an elegant octagonal faceted shape, creating extraordinary light refraction and color transitions from every viewing angle.
The vase looks beautiful in natural light where the submerged layers create exceptional depth and optical effects.
