- Overall, this antique bookcase/display cabinet presents well with age-appropriate wear consistent with its age and use. The wood retains a … moreOverall, this antique bookcase/display cabinet presents well with age-appropriate wear consistent with its age and use. The wood retains a rich patina, and the cabinet is structurally sound. Light surface scratches, scuffs, and finish wear throughout. Minor edge wear and small nicks to the wood, particularly around the base and feet. Glass panels are intact with no obvious cracks observed. Brass hardware and decorative accents show expected patina and oxidation from age. There is some separation and wear visible to the decorative trim/molding in areas. One loose trim piece has been reattached, and the second matching trim piece is included but is not currently attached. One rear/base support area shows an older repair or replacement block, visible from the back/bottom but not prominent in normal display. Shelves and cabinet frame are solid and functional. less
