In 3 more years, it will officially be an antique. This buffet was made by Charak Furniture Co, which dated and numbered its work, as visible on the label inside the top drawer. Interestingly, the "Mafs." stamped into the mark? Not a typo. It's "Mass." written with the old long s (ſ), an antique typographic flourish Charak leaned into to honor the colonial era their furniture echoed. The minor nicks and scuffing are the honest marks of a life well-lived, and they only add to this buffet's charm. See less
