Hand-built in the Philippines circa 1970's-1980's, each chair is constructed on a bent rattan and wood frame, fully wrapped in leather with hand-applied whip-stitching along every seam and edge, a labor-intensive technique Layug's workshop became known for. Comparable to McGuire's leather-lashed rattan furniture of the same era. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a matched set of a hard-to-find design from a sought-after Filipino maker. Unmarked.
