Brutalist diabolo vase by Joël Baudoin, made in Durtal, France, during the 60s.
Very beautiful and atypical piece of handmade ceramic, very heavy. A crisp gray glaze reminiscent of Jean Besnard's covers partially covers a terracotta slip, in flat areas or thick droplets. In places, blue appears under the gray.
It is in very good condition, to note a small chip at the neck (pre-enameling firing defect because there is a little enamel in this lack), another chip under the vase, invisible once installed. These defects are visible on the photos.
Height: 17 cm, diameter base: 10.5 cm, diameter neck: 9.5 cm. Weight : 1Kg. This piece has an attribution mark,
