Created during the mid-1990s, when Hockney was deeply inspired by his beloved miniature Dachshunds, Stanley and Boodge, the artwork reflects his affection for the dogs through rich jewel-like colours and a warm, intimate composition.
David Hockney was of Britain’s most celebrated contemporary artists, renowned for his vibrant use of colour and innovative approach to painting and printmaking.
The poster is approaching 30 years of age and remains in overall excellent condition. Minor age-related yellowing may be visible along the lower white margin and would be largely concealed when framed. The poster has never been framed.
