VERY RARE! A magnificent Queen Anne period baluster stem goblet dating to the early 18th century. This exceptional example features a large round funnel bowl with a solid section at the base, gracefully raised on an inverted baluster stem showcasing a prominent central tear above a teared basal knop. The goblet is further enhanced by a finely crafted conical folded foot, a hallmark of quality English glassmaking from the period.
A rare and highly collectible example of early English drinking glass, displaying the elegance, craftsmanship, and refined proportions characteristic of the period. Two out of the twelve goblets have tiny chips on the rim. (See photos for details). Otherwise, presented in excellent antique condition, commensurate with its age and history.
