Round bonsai pot executed in Tokoname or Yixing-type clay with a matte brown finish. The basin form features a rolled rim, four molded feet, one central drainage hole, and two tie-down wire holes.
Marked with an impressed numeral "9" on the underside, the pot is of mold-made construction and dates to the late twentieth century. Measuring 11 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches in height, the planter reflects the practical proportions and restrained aesthetic associated with modern bonsai cultivation containers.
The unglazed clay body and functional design are characteristic of export bonsai pottery produced for the international market.
