Offered is a lovely original painting, "California Summer", by artist and poet Judith Pacht. It features bright splashes of color under graphite sketch outlines of a modernist abstract expressionist forest landscape. It shares style, color and character with Scandinavian mid century artists Peter August Böckstiegel and Torgny Forsberg, with American artists Joan Mitchell, Roy Lichtenstein, Jackson Pollack, John Altoon, and French artists Bernard Buffet and Raoul Dufy. The frame appears to be a ribbed beech wood with a light white wash, and the matting is a light beige.

There are signs on the support back board of scratches near the wire, probably due to previous owners attempts to hang it.
