This painting is very much in the French or American style and influenced by Modernism, the figure is very much in the school of or a possible follower of Milton Avery but is unsigned. Painter was talented in the simple rendering of the figure, with the window still life showing real confidence. The painting appears to be circa 1950 but has been re-stretchered on a very modern stretcher. Possibly French or American school.

Condition: Good condition. Has been re-stretched with tacks removed and replaced with staples.
