Painting is 46” tall x 33.75” wide within frame and is in very good condition. Manuel Munoz Merida (signs M.M. Merida) was born in Spain and is the father of noted artist Manuel Merida Ruiz. Manuel Munoz Merida born in 1920 in the city of Cordoba and grew up in Granada, Spain. He traveled the world and painted in Spain, Italy, France, South America and Canada. He taught many of the great artists of his time and was known as Dr. M. M. Merida. He sold a number of original paintings to private collectors and museums throughout the world. Many of his paintings have sold for over 50,000 euros, including one that was a picture of La Concha in Marbella for 40,000 pounds. This is reputed to have been sold to Sean Connery who was a resident of the village part time. He established and operated a museum and gallery dedicated to his works until his death. See less
