This striking surrealist landscape painting by Kazimierz Dzyga blends the boundaries between reality and dream.

In the center, a woman sits gracefully in a shimmering, peach-colored dress. Her most defining feature is a massive, spiky, starburst-like headdress that surrounds her head like an explosive crown of hair or fiber, adding a deep sense of mystery and fantasy to her persona.

She is positioned against an expansive, mystical landscape featuring a serene blue lake, distant geometric structures that resemble white towers or a stylized futuristic city, and distant rolling hills. In the foreground, vibrant blue flora blankets the terrain, while curious organic and volcanic formations erupt on the right side, releasing soft puffs of smoke into the clear sky.

Dzyga’s signature approach of fantastic realism shines through the hyper-detailed rendering of the figure combined with entirely imaginative environments.
