Oil on canvas. Signed G. Ramano and dated 1861 lower left. French School. Nisida, a small island belonging to the Phlegraean Islands archipelago, is seen from the Neapolitan coast, located at the far end of Posillipo Hill. On the shore in the foreground, some fishermen haul in their nets at the end of the working day, under the setting sun. The painting shows traces of previous restorations. It is presented in an early 20th-century frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
