Living and working in Venice since 1990 Bordas approaches painting as a form of visual writing in the spirit of Henri Michaux or Paul Klee. His imagery appears abstract at first glance, yet subtle forms hover at the edge of recognition, inviting the viewer to read the image as much as see it.

In this composition, Bordas arranges black ink motifs in a loose grid-like constellation across the sheet, establishing a gentle rhythm that resonates with both order and decay. Each motif is bold yet slightly eroded at the edges, as if gradually fading into the paper—a meditative repetition of forms that feels quietly haunting. from afar the piece registers as pure abstraction, but on closer inspection ghostly suggestions of faces or figures seem to emerge and recede, each an apparition on the verge of disappearance.
