This set of nesting tables does both. The combination of clear glass and slender black profiles creates an almost architectural appearance, where the lines constantly change depending on the viewpoint. When pushed together, they form one powerful whole; when placed apart, three independent tables emerge that retain an airy appearance due to their transparency. The set dates from the 1980s, a period in which graphic forms and clean geometry played an important role within postmodernism. The design makes use of this in an understated way. No superfluous details, just a careful interplay of rectangles, shadows, and transparency. Thanks to the different sizes, the tables can be used in various ways: as a compact coffee table, as a playful composition next to a sofa or armchair, or distributed throughout the room as separate side tables. The glass lets light through, ensuring that the set continues to feel spacious even in smaller rooms. The black metal profiles form a powerful frame around the glass and give the tables their distinctive graphic character. from different angles, a new interplay of lines emerges with each view, ensuring the set continues to surprise without being overpowering. We have carefully cleaned the glass and treated the metal profiles with a protective metal wax. The tables show light signs of use consistent with their age, including a few superficial scratches in the glass. The set is in neat vintage condition and is ready for immediate use.
