Abstract in bold blue and red with textures created by salt in India ink and watercolor, by California-based artist Ricardo de Silva (Brazilian, 20th Century). Bonus sketch on verso of a person's face, perhaps a self-portrait of the artist.

Unsigned, but was acquired with a collection of the artist's work.

From a collection of Ricardo de Silva's work and memorabilia. DeSilva was a gallery owner, first in Santa Barbara in the 1960's and 70's, then in San Jose in the 1980's. He was dedicated to promoting the work of talented upcoming artists, including Kogyo and Hasui Kiyochika, Robert Frame, Jim Stuckenberg, Alice Robertson Carr, Deborah Eve Alastra, Russell Kelly, and Diana Mark.
