A substantial 1960s pair of black-painted iron wall candle sconces, each designed with three arms for standard taper candles. Bent flat iron or steel forms the strong symmetrical frames, with welded candle cups and applied scrolling details inspired by Spanish Revival and Mediterranean decorative ironwork.
Together, the pair holds six taper candles and creates a dramatic architectural presence when mounted. Their generous scale makes them especially effective flanking a fireplace, mirror, tapestry, large painting, dining-room sideboard or arched doorway.
The dark iron silhouette also complements Gothic Revival, Hacienda, Old World and collected contemporary interiors. Display them against warm plaster, limewash, stone, brick or dark wood for strong contrast and atmospheric candlelight. or flanking a mirror as fireplace candle sconces, sculptural wall accents
Maker and country of origin are unknown. The construction is consistent with later decorative workshop or small-production ironwork rather than early hand-forged architectural metalwork.

CONDITION
Good pre-owned condition with minor scratches, edge wear and finish variation consistent with age and previous display. No obvious major bends or missing candle cups were observed.
The black-painted finish has not been completely refinished, preserving its aged character. Weld integrity, concealed oxidation and mounting strength have not been professionally tested. Installation should be completed with wall hardware appropriate for the wall type and the weight of each sconce.
Candles and mounting hardware are not included.
