This pair of statuesque beauties with palladian doors absolutely make an entire room -- living room, bedroom, salon -- and … Read more This pair of statuesque beauties with palladian doors absolutely make an entire room -- living room, bedroom, salon -- and serve as beautiful display cases for china, figures or your beloved collections on top and hidden storage on the bottom. The were handmade in Costa Rica of tropical hardwood, I believe cedro (cedar) or possibly guapinol (a tropical substitute for cherry). The glass panes are all beveled. They were in my grandparents' homes here in the States and in Costa Rica at least since the 1920s. They may have belonged to my great grandparents in Costa Rica before that. See less
